Style/Date: Late Victorian Materials: 14K, Plat, amethyst intaglio Description: Late Victorian Hermes intaglio in amethyst in a 14K and platinum pendant mounting. The back of the amethyst is a diamond checkerboard, (couldn't capture a photo of that!) One of Hermes' many patrons was "god of merchants and commerce." "Hermes" was the Greek mythology name and "Mercury" was the Roman name!
