Description: Finely carved stone (onyx) cameo portrait pin/pendant in 14K and probably natural pearls. The bail is on a hinge and can easily be removed to wear as a pin. Measures 4 1/8″high x 2″wide. On the reverse is engraved “Rachel Lockwood . – Aged 83” “Presented to her daughter Mary L. Pierson. Nov. 13. 1873.” Possibly from a banking family in Troy, NY. or Greenwich – Stamford, CT. Pearl necklace not included.
